PlaySight’s SmartField baseball technology is coming to Big League Dreams

Big League Dreams and PlaySight Interactive, a leading global sports technology company, are announcing an exciting new baseball partnership today. PlaySight’s connected camera and AI-driven SmartField technology will soon be arriving on a Big League Dreams baseball diamond near you.

PlaySight is turning baseball diamonds, and other sports courts, fields, gyms and rinks all over the world ‘Smart’ by installing high-performance AI software and connected camera technology. Once set up, PlaySight SmartFields provide athletes, coaches, teams and fans with automated HD broadcast live streaming and advanced coaching and performance analysis tools, as well as instant replay and an on-demand video content platform to access, store, manage and share video, statistics and analytics. With this partnership, PlaySight will be installing its Smart cameras on Big League Dreams fields across the Manteca, Riverside, Chino Hills, League City, Mansfield, West Covina, and Perris, California locations. Big League Dreams joins Ripken Baseball as leaders in the space now powered by PlaySight technology.

“Big League Dreams strives to offer the best product possible to our players and guests. This partnership with PlaySight will enhance our product by providing players with the technology to further analyze their performance and providing flexibility for family and friends to catch the players in action,” said Kevin Flora, Senior Vice President of Operations for Big League Dreams.

Top athletes and teams across all levels of sport are already training and playing with PlaySight, including the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors, several leading NCAA basketball programs, including the University of North Carolina and Wake Forest University, the United States Tennis Association’s National Campus, and close to 70 other NCAA programs across tennis and other sports. PlaySight first entered the sport of baseball last year with the aforementioned multi-field partnership with Ripken Baseball at their Aberdeen (MD) and Myrtle Beach (SC) locations.

“We first launched our Smart baseball system in 2017 with Ripken Baseball, and the feedback has been great – from players, coaches and parents,” said PlaySight’s Scott McMeekin. “Our live and on demand sports video platform is giving today’s athlete what they need to improve faster and connect with their parents, friends and fans like never before. We’re excited to have the same impact across the world-class Big League Dreams facilities throughout California.”
