We were very excited and proud to live stream both the team and individual squash competitions as well as softball at the 21st Maccabiah Games in Israel, held last month. The Maccabiah is the world’s largest Jewish athletic competition and takes place every four years in Israel – “the Jewish Olympics” as they are often called, are Maccabi World Union’s largest and most famous enterprise.

PlaySight’s Adam Bachmann won two medals (Gold in Team and Silver in Individual) during the squash competition.

“For the past few weeks during the 21st Maccabiah Games, our athletes, competitors, coaches and fans connected via the PlaySight platform, which we have utilized successfully in previous events,” said Maayan Leyi, the CEO of the Israel Squash Association. “This state-of-the-art technology platform gave us the opportunity to expose a diverse global audience beyond our traditional squash community through an automated production of live stream broadcasts of the matches. We were thrilled by the implementation of such innovative solutions, and look forward to additional partnerships in the future.”

Connexa Sports’ own Adam Bachmann is competing in squash at this year’s games. He recently captured the Gold in the team competition as well as Silver in the individual event. Bachmann is an integral part of PlaySight’s Israel operations, and is a world-class squash player as well. “I am very proud to represent PlaySight and Connexa Sports in my sport of squash,” said Bachmann. “It is also great to be able to share my matches on PlaySight for my friends and family to watch – both in Israel and all over the world.”

“For many years PlaySight has provided us with the highest level of technology, service and support,” said Tomer Gurski, the Ra’anana Municipal Squash Center Manager.  “This year, at the 21st Maccabiah Games, PlaySight enabled family members and friends from all over the world to be part of what is happening during the competition.”

PlaySight technology is used throughout sport to broadcast tournaments, matches, games and events, and the company’s flexibility with both fixed and portable camera systems opens up broadcast opportunities that were previously unavailable at many levels of sport. PlaySight is also a well-known and respected technology company in Israel, and its technology is widely used throughout the country across many sports, from softball and squash to tennis, basketball, soccer and more.
