LAHAINA, HAWAII (July 9th, 2020) – Maui Preparatory Academy is the latest prep school to add PlaySight’s Smart sports AI technology, turning its campus into a SmartSchool with pro-level live streaming, automated video production, and a high-performance sports platform for its athletes, coaches and community.
With a mission of Relationships, Empowerment and Relevance, Maui Prep has emerged as a leading institution on the islands since its inception in 2005. And now with PlaySight, Maui Prep will be able to take its athletic games, school events and competitions on campus and share them like never before. Keenan Reader, Maui Prep’s Athletic Director shared his thoughts on what the new facility means for the school.
“The Bozich Center is literally and figuratively a “game-changer” for Maui Prep. After years of practicing outdoors in the rain and sun, our teams have a state-of-the-art facility to train that will help Maui Prep continue to rise in the ranks of the Maui Interscholastic League. The ability to host games and events in the gym will help us to strengthen school spirit and provide a gathering place for our community.”
Maui Prep becomes the first school in Hawaii to partner with PlaySight, joining leading prep schools across the country, including Santa Margarita, Choate Rosemary Hall, Hotchkiss School, as well as close to 100 NCAA programs and several professional teams across the NBA, MLB and NHL.
