PlaySight Announces Collaboration with USTA to Integrate ITF World Tennis Number Rating

BOSTON, Nov. 21, 2024 – PlaySight Interactive, a global leader in sports video technology, in collaboration with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), is excited to announce the integration of the International Tennis Federation’s (ITF)  World Tennis Number (WTN) into PlaySight’s advanced video and analytics platform for USTA customers. This integration aims to enhance the viewing experience for tennis enthusiasts and provide players with a comprehensive analysis of their performance data tied to their official WTN rating.

With this integration, tennis players can now scan a QR code at PlaySight Smart Courts at tennis clubs nationwide to link their USTA Account Number to their PlaySight account. Once linked, a player’s WTN will be displayed as graphic overlays on their session videos, offering a richer and more engaging viewing experience. The video overlays will include players’ names along with their WTN singles and doubles ratings, providing viewers with real-time insights into the athletes’ performance levels.

USTA Connect, an initiative launched last year by USTA, is a strategic partnership program designed to grow the game by fostering collaboration and innovation across the tennis industry. By facilitating relationships and integration among key industry partners like PlaySight, USTA Connect aims to drive growth and accessibility within the sport.
