TEL AVIV, ISRAEL (June 29th, 2021) – PlaySight Interactive (www.playsight.com), a leading global sports video technology platform, is pleased today to share an early success story from its new partnership integration with LIGR (www.ligrsystems.com), a leader in cloud broadcast graphics for sports leagues and broadcasters of all levels. The athletics department at Concordia-Moorhead College is the first in collegiate sports to utilize this brand-new platform after beta testing it over the past season throughout their athletic department.
“All of our fans, coaches and administrators have loved the professional looking graphics. The ease of posting the graphics and the quality in which they appear have really stood out from other live stream productions.”
With this new platform first announced last week, LIGR’s industry-leading graphics platform is integrated directly into the PlaySight backend, enabling an intuitive and seamless workflow for an enhanced broadcast experience, leading to a more engaging fan experience with graphics, overlays and engagement tools throughout both live and on demand sports broadcasts.
“All of our fans, coaches and administrators have loved the professional looking graphics. The ease of posting the graphics and the quality in which they appear have really stood out from other live stream productions,” said Jim Cella, Concordia College’s Director of Sports Information. “Once the integration was up and running, it was very easy to have a student worker or myself control the graphics from the app. I also liked the ability to add, or subtract graphics depending on the workers I had available. LIGR has a complete spectrum of graphics that can be used depending on the amount of help you have available.”
LIGR partners with many of the leading technology companies in the sports world, but their partnership with PlaySight is the culmination of years of work together and includes custom software development. The intention behind the white label solution was to build a single workflow and integrated tech stack for clients, whether they are Division III collegiate programs such as Concordia College, or professional leagues, prep schools or sports academies. “It is great to see a powerful case study already emerging from our new partnership with PlaySight,” said Luke McCoy, LIGR’s Co-Founder and CEO. “There are hundreds of schools like Concordia College who rely upon PlaySight and automated video live streaming, and we have built the tools to enhance what they can do while not much additional work to the production flow.”
“One of the best parts of the platform we have built is that it can scale up or down for all levels of sport, from the NBA to professional leagues, to Power 5 programs, small colleges, high schools, community centers and more. We are convinced that LIGR offers value enhancement to nearly every single PlaySight client, and we are affirmed in this belief by the feedback from Concordia College after they tested the integration this past season,” said Chen Shachar, PlaySight’s Co-Founder and CEO.
