The Springfield College Pride are set to become the latest collegiate athletic program to add PlaySight’s Smart AI and connected camera sports video technology to its basketball and volleyball teams and facilities. The Pride coaches and student-athletes across their men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs will soon benefit from PlaySight’s pro-level video and performance tools in Blake Arena.

Springfield’s basketball and volleyball programs are the first in the NEWMAC (NCAA DIII) to partner with PlaySight, the same technology company powering close to 100 other NCAA programs and 15 NBA and WNBA organizations.

“The advancement in technology will continue to aid in the student-athlete experience at Springfield College.”

Director of Athletics Dr. Craig Poisson shared his thoughts on this new investment by his athletics program:

“At Springfield College, our teacher coaches are faculty members, and by partnering with an industry leader in PlaySight, we are providing them with the ability to enhance their on-court teaching in real time.  The advancement in technology will continue to aid in the student-athlete experience at Springfield College and help their development in training sessions through understanding how to improve during teachable moments on the court”
