Peoria, Illinois (September 27, 2019) – The Bradley University Braves are set to become the latest collegiate athletic program to add PlaySight’s Smart AI and connected camera sports video technology to its teams and facilities. The Braves basketball coaches and student-athletes will soon benefit from PlaySight’s pro-level video and performance tools in its practice facility. Bradley is the first Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) program to become Smart with PlaySight video technology, joining over 80 other NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA programs that train, practice and play on SmartCourts.

“We went with PlaySight because of its highly sophisticated camera system. We will use PlaySight to break down and evaluate our practices. The multiple camera angles are one feature that we are particularly looking forward to.

Bradley’s basketball team has appeared in nine NCAA tournaments, including two Final Fours (1950 and 1954). They qualified for March Madness this past season, their first appearance since 2006, when they made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. Kristof Kendrick, Bradley’s Coordinator of Player Development and Video Operations, shared thoughts on why the program decided to add PlaySight and video technology this offseason. “We went with PlaySight because of its highly sophisticated camera system. We will use PlaySight to break down and evaluate our practices. The multiple camera angles are one feature that we are particularly looking forward to.

The Braves utilize video to not only scout opponents, but themselves too.Video is huge for us. That cannot be stated enough. The ability to not only scout opponents to help us prepare games, but also to watch ourselves and see where we can get better and show our players the same thing is crucial,” said Kendrick.

“We’re super excited to welcome Bradley’s basketball program to the PlaySight family as our newest collegiate partner,” said PlaySight’s Matt Gibson. “With the implementation of our technology, they will now never miss a play or angle. It’s been a great summer for PlaySight, as we continue to bring our sports technology to more collegiate conferences and programs than ever before. We look forward to getting to work with the Braves and helping them reach the NCAA tournament once again.”
