PlaySight’s Smart sports technology is powering two leading Melbourne area colleges – Templestowe College and Parade College. These schools are utilizing PlaySight’s platform to give their student-athletes and coaches the tools they need to practice smarter, perform better and ultimately get to the next level of their sport. Additionally, PlaySight’s live streaming technology is being used to enhance alumni and community engagement at both programs.

PlaySight turns sports gyms, courts, fields, ovals, pitches and other sports facilities ‘Smart’ by installing a high-performance AI software and connected camera system. Once set up, PlaySight-powered facilities provide student-athletes, coaches, teams and fans with automated HD broadcast live streaming, multi-angle video recording and advanced coaching and performance analysis tools, as well as instant replay and an on-demand video content platform to access, store, manage and share video, statistics and analytics.

Ian Stacker, former NBL coach and the Head of Elite Sport Development at Templestowe College, highlighted the reasons why his school decided to go with PlaySight as its lead video technology.

“The research we conducted on suitable systems for our program at Templestowe College showed that PlaySight best suited our needs. We have relationships with coaches in the WNBA, Basketball Victoria and US college programs who all spoke highly of the system. We see video feedback to players as essential to creating the best possible elite basketball program for our students. Instant feedback makes PlaySight the obvious choice for us.”

Shaun Bowie, Learning Area Leader of Health and Physical Education t Parade College has already seen an impact from the technology.

“PlaySight has been an easy and effective way to promote engagement of our students in our physical education and high-performance programs. It allows the students to see what we are seeing and make deeper connections with the feedback we give them.”
