Worcester, MA (July 22, 2019) – The Hilltoppers from Worcester Academy are adding video technology to their athletic programs this summer, becoming the latest New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) program to partner with PlaySight. Worcester Academy’s coaches and student-athletes will soon benefit from PlaySight’s pro-level video and performance tools, and the school’s student body, family, parents and alumni will be able to tune in and follow the Hilltoppers through PlaySight’s live streaming and automated production capabilities. Worcester Academy joins a number of other NEPSAC programs with PlaySight, including the Pomfret School, Kent School, Forman School, Trinity-Pawling, Brewster Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall and the Hotchkiss School.

Athletic Director Ed Reilly on the decision to add technology this summer:

“PlaySight will provide our entire school community with functionality to film, teach, promote and live stream school-wide events here on campus and will impact our ability to teach and to inform both internal and external constituents.”

At its core, PlaySight is focused on helping young athletes improve and reach the next level of their sport, and Reilly expects the technology to help in both capacities.

“Coaches will have the unique ability to have practices and competitions filmed and give them a quick, efficient method to teach their players and to promote their skills with college recruiters. Similarly, student-athletes will be able to have ‘ready’ information to view and to study, giving them capacity to improve both individual skills sets and, more importantly, team performance.”
